Time: Saturday, May 1, 10:00am - 12:00pm, FREE!
Location: Meet at the northeast corner of the Orchard Beach parking lot (far left corner from entry booth). Parking is free this time of year.

Walk Description: Hunter Island in Pelham Bay Park is home to giant oak and tulip trees that may predate the American Revolution. It also supports one of the richest concentrations of native, rare plants in the city. Of wildflowers, expect to see springtime favorites such as trout lily (Erythronium americanum), wood anemone (Anemone quinquefolia), and Dutchman’s breeches (Dicentra cucullaria) and emerging ferns. We'll walk the Kazimiroff Trail to see these floristic displays.
